No Greater Love - A scream sliced the still, autumn air. A mother’s voice – my neighbor’s voice – protested the world’s indifference to her tragedy. My roommate woke up, but I didn’t. Neither did the world.

How to make an ACT of SPIRITUAL Communion

  • + PREPARE YOUR HEART for an encounter with jesus. Pray quietly. Focus and light a candle before Him. Make the Sign of the Cross.
+ READ the mass readings. Slowly pray the readings for Mass of the day.
+ RECITE THE PRAYER for spiritual communion. Meditate on each word. Believe that Jesus will give you the grace of a real encounter with Him.
+ SILENCE. Remain in silence for some moments, with Jesus in your heart. Allow Him to love you and to nourish your soul.

Recite the following prayer if participating mass online during communion.

Pope Francis’ Prayer to Mary during the coronavirus pandemic.

    O Mary,
you always shine on our path as a sign of salvation and of hope.

We entrust ourselves to you, Health of the Sick, who at the cross took part in Jesus’ pain, keeping your faith firm.

    You, Salvation of all People,
    know what we need,
and we are sure you will provide
so that, as in Cana of Galilee,
we may return to joy and to feasting
    after this time of trial.

Help us, Mother of Divine Love,
to conform to the will of the Father
and to do as we are told by Jesus,
who has taken upon himself our sufferings and carried our sorrows to lead us, through the cross, to the joy of the resurrection. Amen.

Under your protection, we seek refuge, Holy Mother of God. Do not disdain the entreaties of we who are in trial, but deliver us from every danger, O glorious and blessed Virgin.

Khachkar (Kha - ch - kar) or Cross-Stone

is the unique manifestation of Christian Armenian national art which in its Christian form and type has no other equivalent in the world. An integral dimension of Armenian sculptural art; with high artistic standards and strong national character, occupies a worthy position in the treasury of international art. Khachkars are also an expression of the Christian faith and high aesthetics taste of the Armenian nation, nation that was first to officially adopt the Christian faith in the year 301 of Our Lord Saviour. In the deep respect and commemoration of the Khachkar by the International community, a Khachkar was placed in the front entrance of the Main Hall of the United Nations in New York.
